Well, what can I say, Ron is on fire this season setting yet more records and beating his old 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile records which he set at Mission Raceway on September 19, 2004.

After a miserable morning of rain on Saturday the sky began to clear over Mission Raceway and the CMDRA event was able to proceed. Once Ron and the team were able to analyze the track and the weather after the heavy rain, the bike was dialed in for the second round of qualifying. In an amazing pass Ron beat his Sept. 04 record with a 6.657 @ 212.76mph (the old record was 6.679). This pass clearly left Ron secured in the number 1 qualifying position for Sunday.

On Sunday Ron lived up to the Fast Lane name and started off the first round of elimination by beating the previous days record breaking numbers with a 6.62 @ 213mph. Just when the crown figured they had seen all the record breaking action for one weekend, guess what happened, Ron broke the previous two records and firmly set the new track ET's as well as the new CMDRA 1/8 and 1/4 mile records! In a crowd pleasing, strait as an arrow, center of the track pass, Ron ran the 1/8 mile @ 4.312, and the 1/4 mile @ 6.583 @ 213.47mph. All in all it was an amazing weekend for Ron and those of us on the Fast Lane team.
